Manila vs Batanes
When I Was Stranded In Batanes, These Were The Things I
Missed Most In Manila
- Amazing
Race, Sky Cable and sole control of the remote control - Fully
Booked, PowerBooks, National Bookstore and their accessibility and
availability. I had so much free time in my hand but no pocketbook. - Cut-off
time in clinics - Dressing
up, accessorizing and… - The
night life - Going
out with my friends, cousins and the balikbayans - Fastfood
and fine dining - Complete
facility of Sentro - the simple amenities in urban life such as Water
directly from the faucet, working or flushing toilet - Robinsons
When I Got Back in Manila, These Are The Things I Miss Most
in Batanes
- Everything
was within walking distance from our “hotel”: the lighthouse, hospital,
Provincial Health Office, Church, School, ATM machine, Laundry shop,
Internet café, market, and even their airport - their
sweet yam (yam chips, yam fries, boiled yam) and "paco" or fern salad - the
wonderful scenic views! The rolling hills with cows grazing about, the
Pacific ocean. - Trekking
their hills, sitting on top and just enjoying the landscapes and seascapes
below - Safety
of our valuables and belongings, my bag lying around the clinic, leaving
our room in the “hotel” unlocked and nothing would go missing - Food
being delivered to us wherever we were 5x a day - My own
microscope in the OR - Goofing
around - Walking
around Basco in rubbershoes, jacket, jogging pants and cap and not getting drenched by
the drizzle - Mealtimes
and inuman with the team

Are you sure those are the only things you missed? How about person/persons? Hehe. Maybe me? (wink, wink)
